Landscape gardeners in Bushey
Between Watford and the yard: older roads, clay, and gardens that need a proper edge before they need more plants.
Bushey sits west of the yard, towards Watford. The older roads have deep rear gardens and frontages that have been half-paved over the years. The newer closes have smaller rectangles that only work if the layout is simple.
Clay is the practical issue. A lawn laid on compacted spoil will not survive a wet winter, and a patio without a fall will hold water against the house. We would rather spend the budget on the base and the edges than on a complicated planting scheme.
Maintenance visits cover the houses that want a regular cut, hedge and weed rather than a one-off rebuild. Tree surgery is available when a crown needs lifting over the pavement or a stump is in the way of a new path. Hertsmere is the planning authority.
