A crumbling tarmac drive in Hemel Hempstead given a new surface.
Mr and Mrs Kempton’s drive in Hemel Hempstead was old tarmac that had started to break up. The job was to give it a new lease of life rather than to redesign the front garden around it.
It is a useful comparison with the Borehamwood sandstone drive and the Radlett block-paved entrance. The right surface depends on the slope, the levels and what you want to live with, not on a single house style.
